The day my aunt learned about American size portions

Monday... Nick had to work so in the afternoon I picked up my aunt and went to the mall :) I love this place because it's huge and you have everything that you can really wish for. We checked out Victoria's Secret which Ingegerd had never heard of before, but she loved it! The only thing that sucks is that those things cost so much money. I have never been a material kind of person so it's very hard for me to spend 40 dollars on a tank top when half of the thing is just air and not fabric. But I absolutely love their perfumes and body sprays!

The hardest thing when someone visits me is to choose what to show them because there are many things that are so great. Trying to decide between having lunch at BJ's or The Cheesecake Factory sure wasn't easy because my God those places are like heaven. But the all American experience screams The Cheesecake Factory so that's where we went ;) Nick had recommended us to get the mac n cheese balls as an appetizer and they were deeelicious. Like everyone else who comes to this place for the first time my aunt had a hard time deciding what to order, haha! All of that pasta, pizza, burgers, sandwhiches and salads are amazing. And you see one waiter after another walking by with trays full of food and drinks and you wonder which of the billion items on the menu it is!! Today was the day when my aunt truly got to learn the meaning of American size portions. She first decided to order a spaghetti dish and then said "I think I'll have a salad too. Yeah that'll be nice on the side".. I started laughing and said "Oh there is nothing at The Cheesecake Factory called a salad on the side. You'll get a mountain of it!". My aunt didn't quite believe me until the waiter came out with two huge plates of spaghetti and salad. Ingegerd's jaw literally dropped, hahaha! She couldn't even finish eating the spaghetti, especially since the waiter came by to re-fill our drinks like they always do. She brought home food for the next two days to eat at her hotel. I ordered the same omelet with mushrooms, tomatoes, jack cheese, swiss cheese, toasted bread and delicious potatoes that I have ordered from day one. I'm obsessed with it, no joke.

Buggy love in the morning
Looking at jewelry that there is no chance in hell we'll ever afford to buy :P haha
Bought Nick a couple of presents at one of our favorite stores
Ingegerd was just as impressed as me the first time she walked into The Cheesecake Factory. You really don't expect it to look this majestic and beautiful!
Trying to decide, haha!
In her defence... here is the list of cheesecakes! Then there are about 12 pages or more of just food.
Mac n cheese balls. If I had eaten all four myself I would have been too full to eat anything else!
A surprised aunt wondering how in the world she is going to eat all of this food :D haha!
I have never tried this before but I had a few bites and it was super yummy.
I think it was something with lemon in it.
I put my presents to Nick under a sign and sent this picture to him at work. Buggy helped me guard it until he came home! ;)
It was a Peter Pan necklace with a ship and a hook that is now hanging as a decoration in our room (it's almost a bit dangerous to wear, lol). And an Alice in Wonderland key chain. Nick has a poster of the cat hanging on the wall so I thought it would fit. Although the poor cat's teeth fell out not long after I bought it, haha.
Nick came home from work at 2 am and discovered that there was cheesecake in the fridge... white chocolate raspberry truffle with an oreo crust... one of my favorites!
