My last day in Chicago

On my last day in Chicago I started packing my bags. I also wrote note cards to everyone in the family which I left for them to find after I had gone to the airport next day :) I wanted togo up to the Willis Tower because I had been talking about that forever. But it was so cloudy and rainy that I probably wouldn't have seen a thing. Bummed out about that but I'll go up there when I return to Chicago some day. Instead I met up with Petra and had a Potbelly sandwhich for the very last time. After saying good bye to Petra I had four hours to kill before meeting Delila. I wanted to see all of my favorite places one last time so I walked all the way to Grant Park and then back along Michigan Avenue. Talk about having tired legs after that but it was just what I needed. A real proper farewell to Chicago. Me and Delila hardly had anytime at all before I had to go back home, but we managed to squeeze in a quick visit to Magnolia bakery. I love their banana pudding!! It was weird saying good bye to Delila because I didn't feel like I was actually leaving. But I already miss her!

When I got back home I was surprised to get a nice card from the family and a Chicago mug to keep as a memory :) Roy was so excited to give me this that he could hardly contain himself and helped me rip up the paper, haha! Then it was my turn to give them something. Jane got a necklace with a heart on it and Roy got an Elmo potty book :)
