Happy New Year and Two Months!

I know I am two months behind on this but.... Happy 2016 everyone, haha :P Our New Years night was crazy, but I have learned to expect that from our parties now! And it's fun because it's often with the same people we have these events and create amazing memories. As long as Nick is by my side I don't mind a little craziness xD He's my solid support through whatever is thrown at us and I know he feels the same about me. We are yin and yang, balancing each other out in the best of ways. Feeling amazing about this time I have ahead of me. Not just 2016 but years to come.

During the day a surprise arrived in the mail that Nick had ordered a while ago. We expected to get it around Christmas but it was perfect that it arrived on New Years of all days. It was two necklaces that together had the shape of a heart and two puzzle pieces that match each other :) so cute! I have mine and he has his.

We had an interesting mix of people and personalities joining our party. But all in all we were happy with our night :) Nick almost choked to death on a piece of pork which set everything into perspective for me. Any other kind of drama that went on and bothered me that night immediately flew out the window. All that mattered was him being okay. I hit him hard on the back until it finally helped but I was close to having to do the heimlich. And the thought of that is terrifying in itself "what if I don't do it right and he ends up dying??". Ugh, it was a horrible moment. I was so happy to celebrate the New Year with Nick and our good friends though :) We had a fire going in the back yard. Hot chocolate, hot apple cider and s'mores although no one really had much of that, lol. Rob and Tyler enjoyed it at least! ;)

Love this!
Twix watching over our Christmas stockings...
I always have to have salty peanuts on New Years. Always. It's been that way since I was a kid sitting on a step stool watching fireworks outside the window.
Hot chocolate and hot apple cider!

For some reason Nick thought it'd be a good idea to whip out the whipped cream ;) it looks like he has a Santa beard
