Movie night in the kitchen

After a long day in San Francisco we definitely just wanted to breathe and relax the next day. My aunt had been on a long 10 hour flight so she was pretty jet-lagged. We all decided to sleep in and take it easy. So Ingegerd got the chance to take a walk in Campbell around the area of her hotel. She tried to find a place to eat which wasn't entirely easy, she even got lost and all of a sudden had no idea where her hotel was! She was also shocked about the prices here and how expensive something very simple can be. There were several times when she was convinced that the salesmen were trying to trick her just because she was a tourist, haha! Naah unfortunately Northern California is simply expensive because of Google, Facebook and other billionaire companies that are located here.

In the late afternoon I went to pick her up. I left the house with Nick and his dad laying on the floor frantically cleaning because they were so eager to give my aunt a nice welcome - too cute! Dave bought double the amount of dounts that we usually get and he got my aunt her special little bag of donuts to take back her hotel as well :) WELCOME TO AMERICA!! Hahaha :D

I have been bragging so much about Nick's cooking that we of course had to have a dinner where he went all out. It was extra fun for Nick since he loves to cook for new people to see what they think and to challenge himself. Since I don't eat meat he unfortunately can't cook just whatever for me (sorry babe) so he loves these opportunities. He made a delicious meal. I'm a total sucker for those potatos skins with cheese, sour cream and green onion that he makes. For the meat eaters he also added some bacon. Nick's grandfather, dad and brother joined us in the kitchen watching a very funny movie. Nick has told me that they always used to sit together and watch movies there before and make a fun night out of it, but they haven't done that in forever. So this was great :)
