Big occasion and a great little helper
Mine and Nick's 6 month anniversary was on a Monday so we celebrated it on the Sunday before that instead. We made it a big deal since we won't be with each other on Valentine's Day or our 1 year anniversary. We enjoy watching cooking shows and got the idea to have dinner at Johnny Garlic's which is owned by Guy Fieri who is the host of one of these cooking shows. We were actually full when we got there because we had been laying in bed eating Jack in the box all day, haha! But I still ate almost everything on my plate because it was delicious! Nick wasn't too happy with his though so I gave him the rest of mine. Afterwards we spontaneously popped by Effie's. I mean, why get all dressed up and not do more than eat! It was the perfect way to celebrate.
On that Monday I had a terrific day with Amanda! Lucille sent us to IKEA to get some chairs and bar stools. Amanda loved riding around on the flat cart just like I did as a kid. She insisted on carrying almost all of the things and loading them up on the flat cart without my help. She was such a good helper so when she asked if she could buy some stuffed animals for her and her brothers I couldn't say no! I always have interesting conversations with her and we talked about how she wishes she could go to college in Sweden because it doesn't cost anything. She asked if she could come with me and I said I think she'd like Sweden :) We ended our little trip with a cinnamon bun at IKEA, lunch at Crepevine and going to the book store. I was very happy when she asked if I could help her with her science project, lately she's been inviting me to all of her school plays and concerts which is so sweet!!
Anniversary dinner with my baby!

God that pasta <3 so good

All dressed up at Effie's

Have to throw in the first picture I managed to take of Flexi. She's Dave's cat and very shy! So pretty!

Amanda at IKEA

My little helper!

She picked out these stuffed animals for herself and her brothers

The car was full with boxes and chairs so she chose this interesting method of climbing out, haha!

Crepevine

Amanda loves reading and so do I. I ended up getting the books about Native American Sacagawea and Geronimo.

At home it was time to play on the zip line!
