My first earthquake
I have to tell you about the first time I experienced an earthquake! On July 21 I was laying in bed at home in Mountain View. I had just turned off the lights to sleep when my whole bed moved and shook for a second! It took a while before I dared to close my eyes again. I texted Nick and he hadn't felt a thing. But in the morning Nick found out that it had really been an 4.0 earthquake. Creepy! My theory was either an earthquake or that I had a murderer hiding under my bed xD haha. Luckily they don't get big eartquakes in this area!
Nick's brother had his birthday at the end of July so we celebrated with some yummy food. I had a delicious garden burger with a pasta sallad and chocolate cake for desert. Gaah so good!!
One of my favorite activities when I'm working - ironing. The hot steam is so relaxing! The same goes with folding newly washed and warm laundry.

I was going to make the bed at Nick's house and Reese didn't make things easy for me :P lol. "Oh, you need me to move out of your way?"
"HA! Yeah right. I'm the King!!"...
He was getting sleepy though so I tucked him in ;)
But of course, as soon as Nick is home, Reese is on his lap in a second ;) this kitty doesn't ever leave his side.
I tried a new strategy one evening which was to take a nap before Nick got home from work. Usually he's done working around 10-11 pm and that's when I drive to his house. But that sometimes ends up with me being exhausted in the mornings when I have to get up for work. And this nap really helped! I wasn't totally sure about this strategy since it feels totally irresponsible and wrong to be up half the night. But thanks to getting some rest I could spend time with Nick and get a good 5 hours of more sleep. The only one who the strategy didn't work for was Nick who went out to get nachos at 4am :P haha. But at least we had fun hanging out most of the night. We got food at safeway and then watched Malificent. I knew he'd like that movie!
I have never seen bananas like these before...
Food shopping at Safeway at 2am ;) why not!
I got my hair styled by an 8 year old... not too shabby! :)
