He is climbing that career ladder!

It freaks me out that I am turning 25 years old in two weeks!! WAAAHH!! That close to thirty already?? xD haha jeez. It feels like yesterday that I was in the rematch process in Chicago and had my small birthday party at Hard Rock Café and now a year has already flown by?? Really!? But I already have my party planned and I am looking forward to inviting everyone in a few days. Me and Nick would have loved to celebrate both of our birthdays in Las Vegas since his birthday is in November, but right now we prefer saving our money and doing other fun things instead. Las Vegas will wait for us :) But some really, really good news is that Nick got called in to work as the "assistant" to the UPS-drivers yesterday and today he is doing that job all day! Basically he is the guy who hands out the packages to people's houses. From now on they will call him as soon as they need help so he'll earn more money from that and still keep his evening job. With all of the good recommendations that he has I'm not surprised, but very happy that things are happening so fast. He wasn't even planning on doing this until the holidays!

The August au pair meeting was very brief and simple. We hung out in our LCC's back yard where she has a nice little fire place and a pool. We all brought some kind of food or treat that is typical for our home countries. Although I realized just how few people I know in my group now. I talked to one girl who was nice but she just went into rematch and found a new family. No use in making friends who are going to leave :/ I definitely miss my old group because it was like having a second family. And at the same time it's a good sign that I'm more interested in hanging out with Petronella, Nick and his friends now. It just shows that I've settled down here and made a life of my own on the side of being an au pair, which is what I always wanted!
Having ice cream with the kiddos after picking them up at camp :) that's summer for ya
At midnight, when you say that you're hungry. And he immediately goes into the kitchen and cooks you food <3 ;) I guess he loves me!
Mmm he makes the best omelet in the world
Every night when Nick comes home from work Reese follows his every move, jumps up on his lap and refuses to leave Nick's side :)
