Crazy weight loss
I've always loved the rain. Even if we get a lot of it in Sweden, it never gets old to crawl under a blanket, drink hot chocolate and read a good book when it's pouring down outside. Although I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone as fascinated by the rain as the Californians. When we got rain and a lightning storm a month ago Nick's neighbors were standing in their garden cheering as it rained more and more and the lightning got closer. And his grandma squealed of joy and walked out on the porch as fast as she could when she heard the news! This drought is sure taking its time!
On the brighter side of news - Nick has lost a lot of weight since he went back to work. I didn't even think of him as "chubby" when I first met him but now I see a huge difference. It was obviously hard to stay in shape after he'd broken his ankle but as soon as he went back to work, where he lifts more than a thousand heavy boxes every night, that quickly changed! In less than two months he lost 25 pounds (11 kg)!! No need to go to the gym when you have a job like that :P It's a tough job so he comes home all sweaty and dirty (his face and hands are literally black) but he's showing everyone how determined he is to always do his best even though he's in pain.

"Okay, tonight I REALLY need to catch up on my blog!!" Ends up cuddling with Twix for an hour and gets nothing done. The only thing the laptop was useful for was when Twix scratched her head on it...
