Laying here in bed with kitty Reese at my feet. I'm feeling blaah because of a bad cold. I've taken a few days off work because I'm just not well. The weather has gotten so cold here and I haven't dressed warm enough. As usual on Wednesdays Noah came over last night to record Nick's songs. But I'm never bothered by that because it's a comforting background sound. So I put on two thick sweaters, my big winter scarf, warm pants and socks and Nick tucked me into bed. I woke up once in a while to them apologizing for recording music when I don't feel well. Personally I could hardly open my eyes and didn't mind sleeping through it all until Nick finally came to bed at 6:30 am, lol.

 

I wonder how many phones I have gone through ever since I moved here. Sometimes I have been a total cluts and dropped them, but the last few times they've just died on me! Now it has happened again, UGH!!! When I try to start it all I see is the Apple logo but the phone won't actually start. So now my host parents have arranged so that I can use grandpop's old phone while Apple tries to fix my old one. I had 1½ month worth of photos, videos, text messages and notes for my diary and blog on there and I would be so sad if they were lost for good :( I usually do a back up on my laptop but I'll use dropbox from now on. Technology is awesome, but sometimes I just really truly hate it to be honest xD I'll keep on blogging with the stuff that I have left and keep hoping that Apple can recover what's left on my other phone. I am way behind on my updates here because we have been very busy with moving to a new house and the new baby being born.

 

I used to stay over night in Mountain View one time per week before. It was just so that me and Nick could get a chance to miss each other and for him to be able to hang out with his friends. But now I never stay the night in MV anymore because it's obviously getting closer for me to leave California. And we have also found a system that works when friends come over on week nights. They don't stay super late since I've got to get up somewhat early for work. It sucks being the one who has to watch people party when you yourself have to be responsible about it. At the end of the day I work with kids and I take that responsibility very seriously even though that means I sometimes have to be the "boring one". But I absolutely hated staying the night in Mountain View since I had no friends there anymore. I was laying there alone in bed while he was having fun. Nick's friends are my friends now and I love it when they come over :)

 

When I was playing with him and he was saying that there were monsters coming:

"The monsters are going to jump over the table and I will hug them if they want bananas!" - Matteo

I talked to Matteo about him having a baby brother soon:

"Yeah he won't know how to do a lot of things. So you can teach him how to talk and walk" - Me

"I'm going to teach him how to make a booby trap and then I'll tell him that a monster is coming." - Matteo
