We spent the whole evening playing games, eating great food and having a blast! It was getting late and at one point I was on my way to walk inside but everyone stopped me. And that was when Nick came outside getting everyone to sing 'Happy Birthday' and Neda was carrying my cake which was full of lit candles :D I felt like I was in one of those many American movies and TV-shows that I have watched my whole life, where the birthday girl has a big group of people singing their hearts out while a big cake with candles lighting up the darkness is presented. Magical moment to say the least!

 

After cutting the cake people were going home one after one but Indy and Petronella stuck around to watch a movie. It was still dark outside but in the early morning hours me, Nick, Noah and Neda sat on the sofa in the backyard for a whole hour. We hardly said a word, just sat there bundled up in jackets and blankets to keep warm. Noah and Neda officially became a couple on the same day that me and Nick met on Tinder so we have been on the same journey since day one. I love those guys. Whenever a party is over they are usually the ones who sticks around afterwards but it's no trouble because they're family to us. And in that moment when we were all quietly looking at the night sky we knew that we were in the same state of mind. No need to talk. We were happy. Life was good. Perfect ending to a perfect evening! As the sun came up we finally fell asleep. Heather and Roman on the living room floor, Indy on our bedroom floor and Petronella in Nick's desk chair, haha!
