Reese always sleeps next to Nick at night. But on October 1st I woke up with him snuggled up against my leg. He must have known it was my birthday :) We hung out all day since i had the day off from work and Nick made me a grilled cheese birthday breakfast. Then I was just lazy in bed when Nick went to work in the evening. We had already decided not to give each other presents on our birthdays because we prefer experiences. We already have the kind of stuff we want and need. But when he came home from work he handed me flowers, a cute card, chips and my favorite cheese dip, lol! He knows how to impress me ;) whenever we start eating that cheese dip we can't stop! My party was coming up in a few days so my actual birthday was very mellow but nice :)

 

I worked the next day and picked up Daniel from school as usual. He always says the cutest things in the most random moments. He sat completely quiet in his car seat behind me while I was driving when he all of a sudden said:

"I have 3D power"

Me - "Oh how does that work?"

Daniel - "Just a second. I'm on a mission!"

Then he went back to being quite but I could see in the mirror how he smiled to himself and imagined being on that mission :P that boy has the most awesome imagination.

 

When me and Nick had been at a party store in San Jose I found bouncy balls with minions on them. I bought one for each kid and I ended up giving those to the boys in the afternoon. They had such a blast throwing the balls and chasing them :) they're obsessed with anything that has to do with minions.

 

Since it was Friday me and Nick spent a couple of hours at Effie's and then went to one of our favorite "it's crazy in the middle of the night late and we want fast and unhealthy food" places to get cheese a quesadilla and burrito ;)
