Engagement lunch and a blood red moon
We became regulars at Urgent Care for a while there. Mostly because of Nick's allergic reactions that seemed to be caused by something at work. They ran a billion tests on him and finally decided that it was the dust. So we went to Urgent Care on the day when we were supposed to get our new engagement rings too. Since Nick wasn't feeling well we weren't very motivated to get the rings. But this day actually ended up being awesome!
We went to the mall so we could choose between a bunch of different rings and ended up getting ours from those little sellers in between the actual stores. We had decided from the start that we wouldn't put much money into these rings. People have said "But you should at least get them engraved right??".. Nah. It's more important to us to save money for nicer wedding rings that we'll have engraved, since those are the ones that we will wear for the rest of our lives. We are very happy with the engagement rings that we got and wouldn't change them for the world!
We went to Hot Topic which I have heard of but since we don't have that store in Sweden I've just never seen it. But Nick showed it to me and I loved it so much. It's like every rockers dream store. He ended up buying both me and him cool tank tops :) Our awesome day at the mall ended at one of our favorite restaurants called BJ's. It's hard going there and not roll out on wheels afterward. The food is great! It was the perfect place to go to offically celebrate our engagement.
In the evening we wanted to see the blood red moon just like most other people and ended up in front of the TV. We had our dinner while watching a choppy, blurry, live broadcast since it was too cloudy outside. But then Nick had the great idea of driving up on a mountain road that he knew of where you can see the whole city of San Jose. Maybe we'd be able to see the moon from there? It turned out to be a long road out in the wilderness and complete darkness. I told him "I hate these kinds of roads because I can't see what's coming". And he goes "Hahahaha that's the best part!"... and there you have the difference between me and Nick :P haha! It was cool though. We saw two deers and a bob cat! When we got closer to the top I was so excited about seeing the beautiful view that it didn't really matter if we would see the red moon or not. But before we reached the top a guy told us that they were closing the area and sending people down because you can't see the moon from up there. We thought "So what? What is we just want to see the view?". But there was nothing we could do about it and had to turn back. We will go up there again some day for sure.
Chillin while waiting for the doctor at Urgent Care - again! We actually end up having quite fun in there when Nick gets restless and starts playing around with whatever he can find. The doctor said that she could hear us laughing, lol
