Birthday boy and scaredy cat

It has gotten easier and easier keeping Daniel busy in the afternoons. He has been so focused while playing games that are good brain work outs. At the library he once sat for an hour straight playing a game where he had to use a magnet to move marbles in a labyrinth. He kept talking to himself saying things like "I WILL do it! I'm going to get that high-five!"... cause I kept giving him high-fives when he reached his goal :P too cute. He turned 5 years old in September and I thought he grew taller over night. He loves his new school and I think it seems awesome too. He is always thrilled after his Spanish class which he has once a week. And after picking him up from school we often go to our favorite restaurant, favorite café, library, museum or playground.

Me and Nick were very worried about Twix for a while there. She was gone for four days straight, which is normal. But when she came back we discovered a big wound on her little tummy. It looked like she had tried to jump over a fence or something and cut herself. It's so expensive going to the vet so Nick bought a spray that would help prevent an infection and heal it. Luckily it helped! She is all better now. She hated that spray bottle though and stayed away from us for quite a long time, which was sad because she's become my little baby girl. Just like Reese follows Nick everywhere, Twix would follow me everywhere. But lately Twix has prefered sitting on grandmom's lap since she probably didn't want us to spray her with that stuff again. But there is no need for it and she is starting to realise it. While writing this I am laying in bed with Snickers and Twix so we are getting back to our old ways :) Nick had about a billion kittens at one point and Twix was one of the kittens he thought about giving away but he's happy now that he didn't :) In a funny way she reminds me of a character called Findus from a Swedish children's book.

Brother Reese with sister Twix. In real life she's so much smaller than him but in these pictures they are practically twins :)
When my guy makes breakfast it takes two hours, but it's so worth the wait!!!
