Now that I have worked my last day as an au pair I can finally focus on updating my blog again :) At the end of October Neda turned 24 years old! She and Noah invited us to go with them to San Francisco where they had gotten a room at a very nice hotel and tickets for a comedy show. They seriously paid everything for us! So nice! The hotel room actually turned out to have an extra bed so no one had to sleep on the floor, haha. Going out to eat in SF is super expensive so even though we went to a pretty low-key restaurant that mostly served comfort food, we had to deal with a crazy bill. But when you gotta eat, you gotta eat ;) We had a great time and went back to the hotel for a little while. Later in the evening we went to the comedy show and met up with two more of Neda's friends. I can't remember the name of the two comedians but the show and atmosphere was great! Nick actually ended up talking to our favorite comedian for a good long while afterwards :)

 

During the evening we went back to the hotel a bunch of times and it got pretty late. Eventually we didn't end up going out to a bar/club. Me and Nick had a pizza dinner at a place close to the hotel and ended up getting a good night's of sleep! We had brought pillows and blankets but we didn't need it thanks to that extra bed (and nice hotel staff who didn't say a word about more people staying in that room). It was perfect living right in the middle of downtown San Francisco close to Union square. I had a great time, especially since SF is such a cool city to be in. Nick sure had some interesting stories to tell me. Like that time when his friends stole his clothes and he had to walk through the city naked and ask people to help him :P haha! Sometimes I'm almost jealous of the crazy life stories he has. Almost ;)
