Baby J in the house!
Baby J was born at the end of October! We didn't think he'd be here until after Halloween but I got a message from my host mom in the middle of the night on October 23 saying that they were going to the hospital. When I got to work at 11 am that day the grandparents told me baby J was born just twenty minutes ago :) I was happy that we had lived in the new house for about three weeks so I knew where everything goes, how dishwasher/ washing machine and those things work and what the routines are. The baby had some health issues during the first week so Lucille was gone basically the whole time. Obviously she had to focus on him because he even stopped breathing one night. But the nanny was also sick so she couldn't work. The grandparents helped me with the kids a lot but I took care of all the house work. It was exhausting! Normally Lucille would help me so that week was rough. Not only did I do house work but I would also pick up the two big kids from school and take them to their activities. Amanda had her after school math which I brought along Daniel to twice. The little guy fell asleep both times. It was noticable that the kids were affected by the situation but it felt good that they could rely on me for support.
The boys had the funniest reactions to the new baby. Daniel understood what was going on but had questions such as "How do they get him home from the hospital?". So I explained what a baby car seat look like. He and I went to Whole Foods to get some welcome home treats and a card, although Lucille didn't end up getting it until a week later. Daniel waited patiently but was so excited to give it to her :) When we came home he called out to Matteo - "Matteo, did you hear that new baby was burned a few hours ago!!??"... hahahaha! Oh grammar ;) Matteo himself was mostly amazed that the baby was naked and that you could see his private parts in the picture that their mom sent from the hospital, haha!
There he is!

Nick's friend Sarah is taking a photography class and in one assignment needed to take pictures of a person at work :) and here's the nice result!
