There's a mouse in our house

Haha oh yeah... my host family saw a mouse run around in the kitchen yesterday! Eek! We love animals - just not in the kitchen cabinets. They set up a video camera and left a light on during the night to hopefully be able to figure out where it's hanging out. Oh, and Daniel is of course on guard with his Jedi lightsaber just in case ;)

I've started to get my old energy back, but my lungs just won't keep up yet. Trying to be careful about pushing them too hard since you shouldn't play around with pneumonia. I can't believe my host family can't hear me cough during the nights but this room is pretty isolated from the rest so I'm glad I'm not keeping them awake. I haven't gotten much sleep since it's difficult to lay down without coughing, and at the same time it's hard to sleep while sitting up ;) For some reason I tend to feel better in the morning though so I sleep until noon. Laughing is out of the question apparently :P I realized that the other night when I was watching one of my favorite comedians and had the worst cough attack since the beginning of time. But he's so God damn funny, it was almost worth it xD

Sorry Mr Katt Williams, I've banned myself from watching you for at least two weeks!

There have been some fun things happening while I've been sick though! I recevied a package from my old host family in Chicago. They sent me a nice little Christmas card, some cookies n' cream chocolate and also a little santa/troll they found at a Swedish Christmas market :)

My highlight yesterday was when I heard the two boys ask their mom to read "Findus & Pettson - When Findus was little and disappeared" which was one of the books I gave them for Christmas. They were giggling so much and talking about the goofy things that were happening in the story. Even little Matteo who usually doesn't show much interest in big kid books. One of the reasons why the book-serie about Findus and Pettson are so popular in Sweden (and has been translated into 47 languages, and even been made into a TV-show and movies) is because of the wonderful illustrations. That's what I loved most as a child. There is a bunch of things going on that doesn't always have anything to do with the story. There is always something to look at.
